The original painting was based on St. Don Bosco’s dream.
The artwork was created by Jackie B. on a 24x24 canvas with oil paint and brush. The Monstrance and statue of the Blessed Mother and columns depicted in the scene came from the Chapel of Saints Peter and Paul in Tyler, Texas.
Through the use of colors, lighting, and brushstrokes in the clouds and waves, the artist hoped to convey the drama of the worldly storms. Although the ship is violently pushed back by the wind and waves, it remains securely fastened to the pillars upholding Christ and His Mother. Jackie also incorporated the Culture of Life Foundation’s logo (the vase being offered by Mary) as it is meant to portray that we are all broken, but by clinging to God, we can be restored through His grace.
This original painting was then given to Bishop Strickland as gift on 1st Saturday May 6th of 2023 in thanksgiving for his being a true example of strength and perseverance in the midst of persecutions around the world and the fight against the culture of death.
The artist, Jackie B., is very generously offering the proceeds to go to support the work of the foundation.

And so we begin to try to spread this stunning artwork on July 13th through August 15th.
On this day in history, July 13th, 1917, Our Lady appeared to the Fatima children with a message which is still, if not more relevant, in our own lives - that it is absolutely urgent to console Jesus by committing to Mary and converting.
Today is also the Feast Day of St. Cletus, 3rd Pope and Martyr - mostly lost to history, and it also begins an optional time period for Christians to try to more faithfully live their baptismal commitments by voluntarily and solemnly consecrating our whole lives to Christ through the loving hands of His Mother by following the St. Louis de Montfort 33-day Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary.
‘St. Grignion de Montefort helps point us to the universal and indispensable function of Mary Immaculate in the sanctification of souls - a doctrine giving her proper place as universal Mediatrix of the graces of God!’ (taken from The Sanctifier by Archbishop Luis Martinez, lived during the Cristero War where martyrs proclaimed: Viva Cristo Rey! Viva la Virgen de Guadalupe!)
“I glorified You on earth by accomplishing the work that You gave me to do.” John 17:4
“Therefore, my Beloved Brothers and Sisters, be firm, steadfast always, and fully devoted to the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord, your labor is not in vain.” 1 Cor 15:58
